Personal Biography Statement

Ms. Donnelly received her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1966. She recieved her J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law in 1974 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar that same year. During her law practice, she served as an Associate County Court Judge and as the Disciplinary Counsel for the Colorado Supreme Court. That office is responsible for the regulation of the attorneys in Colorado.

Ms. Donnelly first started teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver College of Law in 1990 and has taught there continuously since that time. She has taught in the Criminal Justice and Criminology Department of Metropolitan State College since 1996. During that time, she has taught Introduction to Criminal Justice, Introduction to Legal Studies, Juvenile Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law and Evidence.

Her personal motto is: "Pay Attention, Pay Attention, Pay Attention," a Zen Buddhist saying that requires one to take responsibility in every moment.
