Personal Biography Statement

Dr. Pavlov was born and raised in the Soviet Union (currently Russian Federation), he therefore enjoys large public processions, flags and group singing. He came to the US in 2000 and started teaching at Metro State in 2006. While in Russia, Dr. Pavlov studied philosophy, history and foreign languages. He received his MA in 2002 and PhD in 2009. In addition to teaching at Metro, he enjoys a number of teaching-unrelated activities such as hockey, opera and, clearly, composing his own biographical statements.

Research Areas/Interests

Continental Philosophy (Kant, Hegel, Marx), Philosophy of Right (Law and Justice), Early Soviet Marxist Thought (Dialectical and Historical Materialism, Legal Philosophy and Aesthetics).
