Personal Biography Statement
Derrick E. Haynes is director of the Student Academic Success Center at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He has over 13 years of progressively responsible higher education experience including, student retention, diversity, training, organizational development, and program assessment. During his work at Metro State, he has participated on significant college wide committees including Student Learning Outcomes Assessment and the Hispanic Serving Initiative to name a few. He is also one of 20 members of the national SunGard Enrollment Management Student Retention Performance Suite Development Group. Derrick currently holds a Doctorate of Philosophy and Masters of Education in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
