Personal Biography Statement
|
Jacob Welch is as Assistant Professor of Theatre specializing in Lighting, Sound, and Technology. Jacob is also an award winning Freelance Lighting Designer working throughout North America. Recent lighting designs include 9 Parts of Desire, Rabbit Hole, and A House with No Walls with the Curious Theatre Company; The Syringa Tree with Alliance Stage; The Night Heron, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Caretaker, and Frankie and Johnny at the Claire De Lune with Pargaon Theatre Company; My Name is Rachel Corrie with Countdown to Zero; and Metamorphoses with Theatreworks. Jacob serves as the Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Theatre Association. He received his MFA in Lighting Design from Western Illinois University. His professional website is www.jacobwelch.com.
