Mary Jo Tyman studied in San Fransico before relocating to Colorado where she completed her degree in Communication from UNC. Her speciality is Interpersonal Communication. She brings a rich background to her teaching from her private practice as a therapist and wellness consultant in the Denver area.

Personal

When not teaching or seeing clients Mary Jo enjoys the great outdoors, hiking, biking, gardening and walking her black chow, Osa. She is married with one daughter

Teaching Philosophy

Mary Jo's teaching style is an interactive one, she loves to share her knowledge with her students and explore how the theories taught in the classroom apply to real life scenarios. "I like to think of each class as a work/play shop, where we take material and apply it to ourselves to increase our personal awareness and walk away with a broader skill set"
