Personal Biography Statement

Dr. Nicole Vowles joined the MSU Denver marketing faculty as an assistant professor in the fall of 2009 after three years of teaching across campus at UC Denver. Nicole’s current teaching includes Marketing Research, Business Communication, and Social Marketing. She has also taught International Marketing, Green Marketing, and Principles of Marketing.

Before beginning her academic career, Nicole was the director of product management at ICG Communications, a voice and data telecommunications provider in Denver. In addition, Nicole has held a variety of marketing and management positions, including management consulting for PriceWaterhouse Coopers and college promotions for a boutique marketing agency in the San Francisco Bay area, whose major client was General Motors.

Educational Biography

Nicole earned her PhD in Marketing from Victoria University of Wellington (2007) in New Zealand and earned an MBA in Marketing and International Business from the Fisher College at The Ohio State University. Nicole's undergraduate degree in Business is from the University of San Diego.

Research Areas/Interests

Nicole’s research interests include the adoption of radical innovations by businesses, green marketing, and assessment methods in marketing education.
