Personal Biography Statement

As a graduate of CU-Boulder (BA) and UCD (MH), I've taught Music 1000 (Music Appreciation) at Metro since January 1990. Additionally, I spent about fifteen years as a classical radio announcer for KCFR and KVOD, and often give pre-concert talks for the Colorado Symphony. I write program notes (essays about classical compositions and their composers) for various performing organizations around the country. There are hundreds of references to my work on various internet sites.

When not busy with music, I'm bicycling, skiing, or spending time with my family. Having two teenaged boys, we are very active in Boy Scouting. Our elder boy is already an Eagle Scout; our younger is fast approaching that goal, and will no doubt achieve it before time runs out in four more years.
