Personal Biography Statement

Philip Skaff has been teaching at Metropolitan State College of Denver since January 2009. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and an Art Minor from MSCD in 1998. After graduating he spent years traveling, studying and working abroad. After spending almost a year in Africa he became interested in nutrition and decided to attend Colorado State University for a Master’s in Nutrition. In 2008 he completed a Registered Dietitian internship with the Florida Department of Education and shortly after he started teaching at MSCD. Philip’s philosophy on teaching and learning is that it should be fun, interactive, interesting, and challenging.

He’s originally from Colorado and lives the Colorado lifestyle. He loves the outdoors and is an avid cyclist. He started racing BMX when he was 6 years old and still continues to ride mountain and/or road bikes daily. Through the years his love of bikes branched into motorcycles a well, both dirt and street riding. Essentially, if it has two wheels, he loves it. Knowing him, he will try to get you on a bike. He looks forward to being your teacher and he hopes to inspire you to live a long and healthy lifestyle.
