Roadrunner Island User Policies
Welcome to MSU Denver’s Roadrunner Island
Metropolitan State College of Denver uses this island for educational and research purposes, exploring how Second Life can support and enhance learning, communication, and collaboration. We encourage you to look around the island. The island’s rating is Mature, allowing for a variety of coursework and research pursuits.
We ask residents and visitors to abide by the following:
- Please visit our Sandbox area to build, practice, and play. We ask that you clean up your temporary objects before leaving. Those items left behind will be automatically returned to your inventory.
- We ask that you build only in areas designated for building.
- Be respectful of any class or meeting that is under way.
- Roadrunner Island, maintains a "no-use" policy for weapons and intentional harm. Do not use weapons or destructive behavior to harm or threaten others or property on Roadrunner Island.
- In short, please abide by real-world campus and classroom rules and etiquette.
- Students and visitors are held to the standards of Metropolitan State College of Denver, Code of Student Conduct, located at http://www.MSCD.edu. Violations of the Code can result in a permanent ban from Roadrunner Island.
- Residents and visitors are expected to abide by Linden Labs’ Community Standards, found at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Community_Standards

Welcome to MSU Denver’s Roadrunner Island Sandbox
Welcome! This sandbox exists for building and learning. We are dedicated to keeping a helpful and pleasant atmosphere.
- Please link and save your work often to prevent Second Life misfortunes.
- This is a weapons-free zone.
- Do not rez giant prims (anything larger than 10 x 10 x 10 meters)
- There is absolutely no selling here. Any items for sale, including tip jars, or teleports to a store, will be deleted and you may be banned from the island. Do not plan to make money in the sandbox.
- Nudity and sexual behavior are not allowed. If you want to try on clothes, you can use one of our changing tents. Wherever you change, please take your boxes and shopping bags with you.
- Illegal activities and discussion of illegal activities will not be tolerated.
- Griefers will not be tolerated.
- Please be considerate when rezzing large builds. If necessary to be considerate, elevate your larger builds to +50 meters or so. Avoid laggy scripts. Use the prims you need but please remember the resources of the sandbox must be shared.
- Please remove your objects when you leave. Items left behind will be returned to your inventory. If you leave a lot of litter, you will be asked to find another sandbox.
- Please be pleasant and help your fellow builders when you can.

All academic and nonacademic events must be approved in advance by the Roadrunner Island Steering Committee.
