This dance form can be enjoyed by everyone. Belly dance positively impacts a woman’s daily life by increasing self esteem and confidence. Belly dancing encourages women to accept and enjoy their bodies as they are. Come join us and see how this dance can boost your energy level while allowing you to experience calm and joy.
Lia Ridley was raised in Transylvania, Romania, where she was introduced to the joy of dance at a young age, by observing the Gypsies. She has performed and taught belly dance all of her adult life.
Introduction to Maya Uterine Massage
Saturday, April 25, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, St. Francis Atrium
Practiced for centuries in Latin America by traditional healers and midwives, this external massage technique is used to gently guide the uterus and pelvic organs into optimal placement in the pelvis, supporting reproductive health and the body's innate capacity to heal. You will learn this simple massage and self-care technique to relieve pain and aid in reproductive health.
Shelley Torgove has been a practicing clinical herbalist for 12 years and is owner of Denver’s Apothecary Tinctura. As a Clinical Herbalist, trained Fertility Awareness instructor and Maya Uterine Massage practitioner, she works primarily with women’s health, specializing in fertility issues. www.apothecarytinctura.com.
