| Eligibility |
Students, faculty and staff on the Auraria campus are eligible
for services. No insurance is necessary.
Be prepared to show a validated current semester I.D. card
each time you check in. New patients will need to complete
a Patient Information Sheet and Medical
History Form. Please note students on Medicare and Medicaid
are not permitted to use the Health Center at Auraria except
for initial emergency care. These benefit plans are federally
regulated and patients on either of these programs must use
approved Medicare and Medicaid facilities/providers. However,
any of the Healthy Moves
and Health Education sessions are open to everyone.

| Staff |
The Health Center is staffed by Physicians,
Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants
and Allied Health Professionals. |

Specialists |
Psychiatrists, Gynecologists and Orthopedic
Specialists provide specialty medical care. |
| Cost |
All charges are significantly less than
those in the community. Patients who are not enrolled in the
MSCD, UCDHSC or CCD Student Health Insurance plans are required
to pay at the time of service. Patients who participate in the
MSCD, UCDHSC or CCD Student Health Insurance Plans will have
their covered charges submitted directly to their insurance
companies. Plan exceptions or co-pays may apply. |
| After Hours Care |
If this is a life or limb threatening emergency, go immediately
to the closest emergency room or call 911 for emergency response.

for non-life threatening medical care.

| Walk-in Care |
Walk-in Care is available on an first come,
first serve basis. No appointment is necessary. Patients are
encouraged to arrive early to increase the likelihood of Walk-in
Availability. Patients are scheduled for a same day or a future
appointment according to the severity of their medical problem. |
Laboratory, X-ray
and Medications

The Health Center maintains on-site laboratory
and x-ray services. An medication dispensing outlet is available
so students who are seen at the Health Center can purchase
their medications at the time of their visit. The Rx Refill
