ORGANIZATION SPOTLIGHT

The Metro State Flight Team The Metro State Flight Team participates in precision flight competition sponsored by the National Intercollegiate Flight Association (NIFA). The team also does volunteer work with groups such as the Tuskegee Airman and Morey Middle School. This semester get CPR Certified with us on March 7th, 2009 or learn the effects of hypoxia in the high altitude chamber in February. Visit us at http://www.mscd.edu/~mspft/

RECRUITMENT

The Metro State Flight Team--is looking for additional students to join. The team's primary focus is on the manual flight computer (CR3), and is structured around preparation for competition at Regional and National level NIFA (National Intercollegiate Flying Association) SAFECON competitions. The team welcomes students of all levels from freshman to senior. Wanna get involved on campus? Come to the tri-institutional event to find out about all the great organizations around campus, and how you can be apart of them. Carnival food and prizes are awarded for visting the Student Organizations.

Gig Series --Live local music and performance acts. Every Thursday at 11am-1pm in Tivoli Atrium (food court)

Organization Officer Lunch Forums --The first Thursday of every month, 11:30 to 12:30, Tivoli 442. Coordinate and network with other organization officers and members over lunch. Share your concerns and have questions answered. Each month will address issues specific to certain officers and are open to all members of student organizations. Lunch will be provided!

SGA (Student Government Assembly) --Learn about issues effecting you on campus and share some of your concerns at Metro’s Student Government’s Senate meetings Every Wednesday at 415pm in Tivoli Student Chambers Tivoli 329 For SGA’s Committee times please visit the website at www.mscd.edu/~sga

SACAB (Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board)--SACAB discusses all issues and conerns in regards to the entire Auraria campus i.e. parking, safety, etc. Meetings are Fridays at 1:30 in the Senate Chambers Tivoli 329

CFC Co-Curricular Funding Committee --Every other Friday starting January 16th at 10am in Tivoli 329. This is a committee for student organizations to present potential event ideas to in order to gain extra funding. Organizations can be rewarded up to 90% of your event funded. Contact Student Activities at 303.556.2595 for more information.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center at Auraria -- Auraria Campus- St. Elizabeth's Description: Free Pregnancy Testing and options counseling available by appointment Monday-Friday. Please call 303-623-0860 for information or an appointment.

Student/Faculty recitals--King Center Recital Hall 2:00pm-3:00pm Music Performance Students (Winds, Brass, Percussion, Strings, Voice, Guitar, Piano) are required to play one Recital class per semester

Crytpo Science Society--Discuss UFO's, ghosts, Big foot, ESP and etc. Every other Thursday Starting September 6th at 4pm. Visit the website for more information and for meeting locations. mscd.edu/~crypto.
