Information for Groups Interested in Joining our Fraternity & Sorority Community

MSU Denver will undergo an expansion/extension process beginning in the Spring 2013 academic term.  We invite groups interested in joining our dynamic, urban, and values-centered community to participate in shaping the newest chapter as a University Fraternity & Sorority Life Community. 

Timeline:‌

January 2013
  • Committee convenes and is trained on vision and procedures for expansion. 

February
  • Committee finalizes documents and criteria.

March
  • Written Application process begins
  • Promote Expansion to Umbrella and Individual Organizations
  • Deadline for submissions March 20th

April
  • Finalists Selected
  • Campus Visits

May
  • Final Decisions made
  • Student Organization Annual Recognition Process Opens
  • Fraternity & Sorority Life Staff promote opportunities at New Student Orientation SOAR Sessions (continues through July)

June
  • Expansion Dates Finalized for new groups.  Groups can begin as early as Fall 2013, but may be extended permission through 2014 based on the organization needs.
