Metro State Food Bank

Mission

The mission of the Metro State Food Bank is to fight hunger on campus by offering every student a lunch or items that can be taken home and used to prepare a meal.  The Food Bank is designed to provide students nutritional food in times of need. The Food Bank aligns itself with additional services and resources on campus that promote the overall well-being of its students.  

Qualify

The only requirement to receive food is a valid Metro student I.D.  Any student is eligible to get food.

Items

Students may get six non-perishable food items per week.

Hours

Location

We are located in the bottom level of the Tivoli, to the left of the Food Court inside Sigi’s Pool Hall in Room 145A.  We are just up the stairs from the big double doors you see in the food court.

Donate or Volunteer for Metro State Food Bank

We are always in need of donations to stock our shelves and to continue to provide food for students on campus.  Please donate any non-perishable food items or any gift cards that can be used to buy food for the Food Bank.  If you are looking for a more hands-on way to help, you can volunteer at the Food Bank of the Rockies.  For every 3 hours volunteered at the Food Bank of the Rockies, the Metro State Food Bank receives a $25 credit.  Make sure to mention you are volunteering for the Metro State Food Bank.  For more information, call the Food Bank at 303-352-7094.
