Overview of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program
The MAT program was designed for students with a bachelor's degree in a field other than education who want to obtain a master's degree and become a licensed teacher in the areas of either Elementary Education or Special Education. Both areas provide a comprehensive background in education with all of the required coursework and clinical experience for state licensure.
