COM 390N (CRN 57224) Sound Design for Gaming
This course covers specialized sound effects and Foley, sound manipulation, and the many technical hurdles a sound designer encounters in the computer gaming industry. Students will learn advanced concepts and techniques, such as recording custom effects, proper integration of audio, synchronization with visuals, and mixing techniques. During the course, students develop an audio portfolio including sound design, dialogue, and music, for a short game or portion of a full-length game.

COM 3635 (CRN 56126) Producing Documents for Print and Web Publication [FrameMaker]
Work with Adobe FrameMaker to: Design effective long documents, Design and use styles, master pages, and templates, Effectively use lists and graphics, Create and use tables, variables, and conditions, and Create a book incorporating same.

Work with Adobe Captivate to: Create learning tutorial and training demos, Develop animated multimedia eLearning projects, Create a storyboard outline and Instructional Design requirements, Use graphics, sounds, and narrations for tutorials, Prepare and publish a final eLearning project.

Work with Adobe RoboHelp to: Create online knowledge bases, Create structure and design of content for manual and online help, Use design layout techniques, Incorporate graphic, type, and multimedia learning projects, Publish a RoboHelp Web Help project.
