Program Assessment

Note: In most cases, students whose major concentration is Video & Media Production or Interactive Media Production will enroll in COM 4410 – Budgeting and Planning for Media Programs. Students with a major concentration in Technical Writing or Corporate Communication usually enroll in COM 4790 – Senior Seminar.

Goal Statement

At the end of the course, students should demonstrate attainment of each of the following goals.

  1. Final class project demonstrates ability to prepare/incorporate critical audience analysis.
  2. Final class project demonstrates ability to prepare/incorporate critical project analysis.
  3. Final class project demonstrates ability to develop a communication project commensurate with a given corporate culture.
  4. Final class project demonstrates ability to write and/or develop a project at a level considered professional within the discipline.
  5. Final class project demonstrates ability to communicate complex issues to a narrowly defined audience to meet the specific needs of that audience.
