When does my Academia or MetroConnect password expire?

All users are required to change their password every 120 days. We recommend changing your Academia password at the beginning of every semester. To change your password please see below  How do I reset my MetroConnect password?

How do I log into a computer in the Labs?

Logging into a Lab Requires an Academia account. If you are registered for classes during the current semester and do not have an Academia password, please contact the HelpDesk (303-352-7548 or go to West Classroom 241) to request one.

 

I am unable to register for a class. –OR-  I have a hold on my account.

If you are having problems registering for classes, please contact the Office of the Registrar (303-556-3991 or got to Central Classroom 105) for assistance.

 

My class(es) does (do) not display in MyCourses.

 Contact the HelpDesk (303-352-7548 or go to West Classroom 241) and we can correct this issue.

 

How do I log into MetroConnect?

  • On www.mscd.edu website click on the MetroConnect link in the upper right-hand corner. *New users should click on the “New user?” link to obtain the first time password.

  • Enter your username (your email address without the @mscd) in the User Name field.
  • Enter your Academia Password (Lab Password). *Once you have logged into a Lab Computer with your Academia password you can then use that password to login to MetroConnect.
  • Click the login button

How do I reset my MetroConnect password?

While logged into Windows Lab Computer:

  • Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete simultaneously.
  • Click on Change Password.
  • Enter your old password in the appropriate field.
  • Enter your new password in the appropriate field.
  • Enter your new password again to confirm it.
  • Click on OK.

I forgot my MetroConnect username and/or password

  • Click on ‘Other Log In/Troubleshooting Issues’ on the MetroConnect homepage
  • Click ‘Lookup Your Initial MetroConnect Username/Password’
  • Select the following information that applies to you
  • Click ‘Submit’

 

How do I log into Blackboard Vista Classes?

  • From the MetroConnect home screen, click the ‘My Courses’ tab
  • Select the correct Term from the dropdown list
  • Click the course TITLE link in blue •BlackBoard will pop up in a new window

NOTE: In the event that MetroConnect is unavailable, you may access Blackboard Vista directly by going to https://metrostate.blackboard.com.

 

How do I reset My Blackboard Vista Password?

Contact the Metro State HelpDesk (303-352-7548 or go to WC241) and we can reset your password to the default. Note: BlackBoard is not available until the first day of class.

 

I am unable to log into Blackboard Vista, what should I do first?

How do I access my e-mail?

  • Login to MetroConnect
  • Click on the Gmail* icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  • A new window will pop up and open Gmail.*Make sure to logout of any other Gmail Sessions

If you do not have the Gmail icon, please contact the HelpDesk (303-352-7548 or go to West Classroom 241) for assistance.
