Where can I get more information about licensed software? How do I get the software?
You will soon be able to review a Campus Software Inventory page to search for information about software available for use or purchase on campus. The inventory page is currently being updated and will eventually have the majority of software titles available on campus. If you need information at this time you can contact the helpdesk or e-mail software@mscd.edu.
Does Metropolitan State have an online software store?
Metropolitan State will be increasing its online services in the coming months. Online purchasing is a key part of this plan.
Can I buy specially-priced research software from Software Services?
Certain products are restricted to specific user groups. These requirements are set by the software manufacturer and involve specific distribution agreements. Faculty and staff can access free or reduced price software through campus agreements. If you are a faculty or staff member, please check the faculty/staff software benefits page. If you are not a faculty or staff member, you may access discounts through the campus bookstore.
How do I order Microsoft or Adobe software for departmental use?
Metropolitan State College has agreements with vendors such as Adobe and Microsoft who offer software at discount prices through our campus licensing agreements. Please contact Software Services for more information on these benefits and to determine if software may already be available to you.
Where is site licensed software available at Metropolitan State? Where can I get more information?

Can I install Metropolitan State site licensed software on my home machine or laptop?
Whether you can legally install site licensed software on a computer depends on the terms of the license agreement. Each one is unique, so please check with Software Services for more information.
How does Metropolitan State choose which software to site license?
Campus Software Services monitors customer software purchasing and takes note of any broad and continuing level of interest in a particular software product. Using this information Campus Software Services is often able to secure pricing that is significantly lower than campus clients could get on their own and through centralization able to facilitate large scale installation and version control.
