Add Video, Sound, and SWF Files
Video, sound, and SWF files can be added to your file in the authoring program, such as Microsoft Word or Adobe InDesign, and when you export to PDF the media will be included. You also can add these elements within the PDF itself.
Add Video to Your PDF
1. Go to Tools panel > click on Content
2. Under Add or Edit Interactive Object section, click on Multimedia > select Video
3. Your mouse will turn into a cross; draw the area where you wish your video to appear

4. When you release the mouse button, the Insert Video window will appear

- Click Browse to select your video

5. After you have selected the video, check the box next to Show Advanced Options
- Under the Launch Settings tab, you have the following options regarding how your video will start:
- Enable When - select when you want the video to start

- Disable When - select when you want the video to stop playing

- Playback Style - chose if you want to have the video play on the page or open in a new window

- Border Width - select what type of border you would like for the video

- Poster Image - The poster image is the picture that appears when the video is not playing. You can select to either Retrieve poster from media which selects the picture form the video, or to Create poster from file which creates a poster from selected file

- Under Controls,you can select how you wish the playback controls to appear
- Skin - choose what control buttons will appear

- Color - choose what color the control bar will be

- Opacity - choose how opaque the control bar appears

- Auto-hide Controls - if checked the controls will be hidden unless the user moves the mouse over the movie

- Under Video tab, you can add chapter points, if the movie you have is somewhat lengthy

6. Click OK when you are finished with the settings

7. Your video will be inserted into the PDF

Add Sound to Your PDF
1. Go to Tools panel > click on Content
2. Under Add or Edit Interactive Object section, click on Multimedia > select Sound
3. Your mouse will turn into a cross; draw the area where you wish your sound clip to appear

4. When you release the mouse button, the Insert Sound window will appear

- Click Browse to select your sound clip

5. After you have selected the sound clip, check the box next to Show Advanced Options
- Under the Launch Settings tab, you have the following options regarding how your sound clip will start as well as how the clip will appear:
- Enable When - select when you want the sound clip to start

- Disable When - select when you want the sound clip to stop playing

- Playback Style - chose if you want to have the sound clip play on the page or open in a new window

- Width and Height - set the size of the image for the clip
- Border Width – select what type of border you would like for the sound clip

- Poster Image - The poster image is the picture that appears for the user to click on to begin the sound clipping. You can select to either Retrieve poster from media which usually leaves the area blank, or to Create poster from file which creates a poster from a selected file

6. Click Ok when you are finished to save the settings

7. Your sound clip will be inserted into the PDF

Add SWF Files to Your PDF
1. Go to Tools panel, click on Content
2. Under Add or Edit Interactive Object section, click on Multimedia > select SWF
3. Your mouse will turn into a cross; draw the area where you wish your SWF animation to appear

4. When you release the mouse button, the Insert SWF window will appear

- Click Browse to select your SWF file

5. After you have selected the sound clip, check the box next to Show Advanced Options
- Under the Launch Settings tab you have the following options regarding how your animation will start:
- Enable When - select when you want the animation to start

- Disable When - select when you want the video to stop playing

- Playback Style - chose if you want to have the video play on the page or open in a new window

- Width and Height - set the size of the image for the clip
- Border Width - Select what type of border you would like for the video

- Transparent background - check box to remove the background from the animation
- Poster Image - The poster image is the picture that appears when the animation is not playing. You can select to either Retrieve poster from media which selects the a picture from the animation, or to Create poster from file which creates a poster from a selected file

6. Click Ok when you are finished to save the settings

7. Your animation will be inserted into the PDF
