Combine, Add, and Arrange PDFs
If you wish to combine more than two files, Adobe’s Combine Files into PDF feature may be more useful than inserting all those files into one PDF.
Combine Files
Do one of the following:
1. In the opening screen, click on Combine Files into PDF
2. Under the Create menu click on Combine Files into a Single PDF…
3. In the Combine Flies window, click on the circle next to Single PDF to combine all the files in one PDF

Add Files
1. In the upper left corner, click on the Add Files button

2. Choose one of the following:
- Add Files… - select a single file to add to the PDF

- Add Folders… - choose a folder of files to add to the PDF

- Add PDF from Scanner… - if you have a scanner connected, click here to scan directly into the PDF

- Add a Webpage… - type in a URL to add a screenshot of that website to your PDF

- Add from Clipboard… - adds whatever was last captured on the clipboard using the copy command

- Add Email… - opens Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes and prompts you to drag the messages into the Combine Files window

Arrange Files
Chagne the Order of the Files
1. Select the file you wish to move
2. Click on either Move Up or Move Down
Insert Specific Pages from a File
1. If the file has more than one page, you can select what pages are inserted, click on Choose Pages
- Change from All Pages to selected pages by clicking on the circle next to Pages

- You can view a preview of the pages in the file at the bottom of the screen. Navigate using the arrows until you know what pages you wish to select.

- In the box next to Pages, type in the page numbers of the pages you wish to insert

- Click Ok

- In the Page Range column, you will now see the selected page numbers

Remove a File from the List
1. Select files to remove
2. Click on the Remove button

Set Options
1. Click on the Options button, only two of these options apply to this section:

- Check the box next to Always add bookmarks to Adobe PDF, if you want the new PDF to have a bookmark before each of the files that were added
- Check the box next to Continue combining if an error occurs to have Adobe continue to create the PDF even if an error occurs in one of the files. If you uncheck this, and an error occurs, the process of combining will stop until you correct the error
- Click Ok when finished

Change File Size
1. To adjust the file size, select one of the paper icons in the lower right corner. The smaller the icon, the smaller the file size will be at the expense of the quality of the images. The largest icon will produce the largest file size with the best quality images.

Combine Files
1. Click Combine Files to start the combination process

- A status bar will appear, showing you the process of conversion

2. The new PDF will open
