Create Portfolios
Getting Started
Create Portfolio from the Home Screen
1. Do one of the following:
- From the home screen click Create PDF Portfolio

- Under the Create menu on the Toolbar click on PDF Portfolio…

2. Both these options will open the Create PDF Portfolio wizard
- In the first screen in the Create PDF Portfolio window, select the layout of the portfolio on the left, a preview will appear on the right
Note: You can change the layout once the portfolio has been created
- Click Add Files to start adding files to the portfolio

- In the Add Files window that opens, select the files you wish to add and click Finish

Note: To select more than one file, hold down the Control key on PCs or the Command key on MACs, while clicking on the files you wish to select
3. The portfolio will open

Create a Portfolio using Combine Files
1. Under the Create menu on the Toolbar click on Combine Files into a Single PDF…
- In the Combine Files window, click on the circle next to PDF Portfolio

- Click on Add Files to add the files to the portfolio

- Click Create PDF Portfolio to create the portfolio

- The portfolio will open

Add Content
You can add more content after creating the portfolio under the Add Content section under the Layout panel

1. Click on Add Files to open the Add Files window to add individual files

2. Click on Add Folder to open the Browse For Folder window to add folders

3. Click on Add Web Content to open the Add Web Content window to add a web page

Create Folders
1. Go to the Layout panel > click on Add Content > select Create Folder
2. In the New Folder window that opens, type the name of the folder

3. A new folder will appear
- Drag files into the new folder
- The number of files in the folder will appear in parentheses to the left of the name

Edit Layouts
You can change the layout of the portfolio by selecting one of the five layouts under Portfolio Layouts, these are:
- Click Through - A strip at the bottom shows you small preview of the documents, the selected document appears as a larger preview card above the strip

- Freeform - The files appear like pieces of paper on a desk, you can move and group them wherever you wish

- Grid - Shows all the files in a uniform grid

- Linear - Shows the files in a line, with a smaller preview of the next file, also allows you to enter a description of each file in a box on the lef

- Wave - Similar to Linear, the files are shown in a line only as you select the files at the bottom, the top appears to “wave” through them

Change Themes
1. Adobe provides five different Themes that you can apply to your portfolio. These Themes affect the background and the appearance of each file card
2. Go to the Layout panel > click on Visual Themes > select the theme you wish to use from the list

Change Color Palette
Along with changing the overall Theme, you can also change the colors used
1. Go to the Layout panel > click on Color Palettes pane

2. Do one of the following:
- Select one of the five color palettes

- Create your own by clicking on Create from Existing

Change Portfolio Properties
1. Go to the Layout panel > click on Portfolio Properties pane
2. Do one of the following:
- Under Font, select the font for the file names
- Check the box next to Embed fonts if you want to ensure that the text will appear the same on all systems
- Under Card Size, select the size that the file card will appear

Save your Portfolio
Before closing, make sure to save your portfolio, do one of the following:
1. Click on the Save icon on the Toolbar
2. Go to File > Save Portfolio…
3. Press Control + S on PCs or Command + S on MACs
