Enable Reader to Save Form Data
If you wish to simply send the form as an email attachment or add it to a website, without using any of the distribution options, you must make some changes to the Reader rights in order for the user to be able to save the information they enter in the form. If you just send the form, as is, when the user opens the form there will be a header across the top, warning them that they cannot save any information in the form.

In order to allow the user to save the information, you must enable Reader rights, by doing the following:
1. Open the form you wish to share
2. Go to File > Save As… > Reader Extended PDF > click on Enable Additional Features…
3. The Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader window will open, reminding you what features will be allowed to the user:

4. Pay attention to the Note which reminds you that once you save the form with these features, you will no longer be able to edit or add content to the form, so make sure this is the final version of your form before saving it with these features
5. When you are sure you want to enable Reader rights, click Save now
6. In the Save As window, choose a location and file name to save the new version as, click Save
Now when the user opens the form, that message no longer appears, indicating they can save any changes made to the form
