Reveal and Clear Hidden Information
The Redaction Tool is useful for removing visible information from a document, however there will still be hidden information that you may want to locate and remove.
Reveal and Remove Hidden Information
1. Go to Tools panel > Protection pane > under Hidden Information click on Remove Hidden Information
2. A panel will open on the left as Adobe searches for any hidden information in the document
3. The hidden information will be listed under Results
4. You can click on the + mark next to each result and click on Show Preview to see the hidden information
5. This will clear all the hidden information in the list
Remove all Hidden Information at Once
If you want to remove all hidden information without bothering to view it, you can do the following:
1. Go to Tools panel > Protection pane > under Hidden Information, click on Sanitize Document
2. A window will open listing all of the information types that will be removed
3. Click Ok
4. A Save As window will open, select the location and name for the sanitized document and click Save
5. Adobe will remove all hidden information from the document
