Create a Worksheet from Template
Define Templates
Templates are especially valuable for those documents that are used frequently, such as weekly presentations, application forms, and expense reports. Many templates are available for download on Office.com
Open a Template from the File tab (Backstage view)

Go to File tab > click on New

Click a category to see the templates it contains or search by keyword the templates available on Office.com

Select the desired template > click either Create or Download button to open a new Office document using that template
Create a template
- Go to File tab > click on New > click on New from existing

In the New from Existing Workbook dialog box, select the Excel file to open

Go to File tab > click Save as

In the Save as dialog box, click on the Save as type down arrow > select Excel Template(.xltx)
Open a saved template

Go to File tab > click on New > click on My Templates

In the New dialog box, select saved template > click OK to open
