Create table to sort or filter data

Create table to apply sort or filter

  • Select any cell in the data area

  • Go to Insert tab > Tables group > click Table

  • In the Create Table dialog box, do the following:

    • Select a range of cell to create table

    • Select My table has headers check box

    • Click OK

  • Click the down arrow in each column header of the table to filter data


Remove duplicate records

  • Select any cell in the table

  • Go to Table Tools tab > Design Tab > Tools group > click Remove Duplicates

  • Follow the instructions in the Remove Duplicates dialog box

 

Switch to normal view

  • Select any cell in the table

  • Go to Table Tools tab > Design tab > Tools group > click Convert to Range > click Yes
