Create a New Document From a Template

  • There are several ways to create a new document such as:
    • A blank document

    • A new document based on an existing document

    • A template from computer, Microsoft Office Online, or any one of number of different template locations

  • For creating a more specialized document, using templates is an easy way to save time and effort

    • Go to File tab > click New

    • Under Office.com Templates section, find a desired template > click Download
