Track and Review Changes
If you have planned to have several individuals edit the workbook, you should turn on Change Tracking to let you see all the changes. Then, you can review the changes and either accept or reject them as you wish
Enable Track Changes feature
1. From the Ribbon, click Review tab go to Share group, click Track Changes button and choose Highlight Changes

2. In the Highlight Changes dialog box, do the following:
- Select Track changes while editing. This also shares your workbook check box
- Select When check box and choose All option
- Select Highlight changes on screen
- Click OK button

3. Excel will notify you that you need to save the workbook to track changes. Click OK button save the workbook

4. Excel will save the workbook and share the workbook which allows more than one person to have the workbook open at one time if it was saved on the network
5. If any change has been made on the shared workbook, Excel will put an indicator on the top-left corner as well as the column header and row to red
6. When you hover the mouse pointer to the cell which has the content changed, it flips up a note looks like a comment indicating
- Who made the change
- When the change had been made
- What the original value was
- What the changed value is

Accept or Reject changes
1. From the Ribbon, click Review tab go to Share group, click Track Changes button and choose Accept or Reject Changes
2. Excel will notify you that you need to save the workbook to review changes. Click OK button save the workbook
3. In the Select Changes to Accept or Reject, do the following:
- Select When check box and choose Not yet reviewed option
- Click OK

4. Excel will display the Accept or Rejects Changes dialog box which contains the details of each on of changes and highlight the cell where that changes was made
- Click Accept to accept a change and move on to the next one (recommended)
- Click Accept All to accept all changes made in the worksheet
- Click Reject to reject a change and move on to the next one (recommended)
- Click Reject All to reject all changes made in the worksheet
Disable Track Changes feature
1. From the Ribbon, click Review tab go to Share group click Track Changes button and choose Highlight Changes
2. In the Highlight Changes dialog box, do the following:
- Uncheck Track changes while editing. This also shares your workbook box
- Click OK

3. Excel will display a dialog box indicating that the action will remove the workbook from shared use. Click Yes button
