Use CONCATENATION Function

1.   The process of joining texts in a cell is called concatenation, which simply means adding one set of characters onto another

2.   General syntax: CONCATENATE(text1,text2,…)

  • text1, text2… are arguments which can be text strings, numbers, or single-cell references
  • You can join 1 to 225 text items into a single text item

3.   To have a space displayed between two text items, place a double quote with the space between the quotes, and separate the quotes from the arguments by a comma

CONCATENATE(text1,” “,text2,….)

TIP              The “&” (ampersand) operator can be used instead of CONCATENATE to join text items
