Add Cover Pages

Word 2011 includes a gallery of Cover Pages with placeholders for document information such as author name, document title and document date

 

Insert the Cover Page for the Document

1.   From the Ribbon, go to Document Elements tab > Insert Pages group > click Cover

  • Select a desired cover page layout from the gallery of options
  • After inserting a cover page, replace the sample text with document information text by clicking to select an area of the cover page, such as Title, and typing the text

2.   If the Cover Page has a picture inserted, to browse a different image,  right-click on the picture > select  Change Pictures

 

Delete and Save a Cover Page 

1.   Click on the Cover Page Options button

2.   Select Remove Cover Page

 

 

Quick Notes

1.   Word 2011 will automatically put the cover page at the start of the document

2.   If you insert another cover page in the document, the new cover page will replace the first cover page
