Understand Themes of the Document

  • Themes are combination of fonts, color palettes, and text effects that control how the document will look and determine the Styles that are available
  • Every Word document has a Theme, and the default Theme in Office 2011 is called Office

 

Apply or Change the Theme for the Document

1.   Change the theme of the document before you change the Style

2.   From the Ribbon, go to Home tab > click the down arrow the Themes command > select a desired theme to apply for the document
