Use the Scrapbook

The Scrapbook can be used across the entire Microsoft Suite. It can hold frequently used texts snippets and pictures. Unlike the Clipboard, it can hold more than one item, which will provide a better tool to cut and paste a number of items into one document. You can also save items into the Scrapbook to be used at a later time The Scrapbook can hold charts, texts, pictures and items copied from Excel as well as Power Point

 

 

Add an Item to Scrapbook

1.   From the Ribbon, go to View menu > click on Scrapbook

2.   In the Scrapbook window, do one of the following:

  • Select the text or image and click on the green Add button on the left of the Scrapbook Window

  • Click down arrow next to the Add button > click on Add from Clipboard to add images copied or cut

  • Click on the down arrow next to the Add button > click on Add File… and select a file to add to the Scrapbook

  • Select the text or image and drag it into the Scrapbook dialog box

3.   If you want to add multiple items to the Scrapbook quickly, click down arrow next to the Add button > click on Always Add Copy so that every time you copy something it will be added to your Scrapbook while Scrapbook is open

 

 

Paste Items from the Scrapbook Window into your Document

1.   Select the item you wish to paste

2.   Do one of the following:

  • Click on the Pastebutton and then click on the drop down arrow to select how you wish to paste the text
    • Paste – will paste the text with the exact same formatting as when you copied it
    • Paste as Plain Text – will take away any formatting and paste it as plain text
    • Paste as Picture – will paste the clip as a picture that cannot be edited

  • Drag the item from the Scrapbook to where you want to place it 

 

Delete items on the Scrapbook window

Do any of the following:

1.   Click on  Delete button to delete the selected item in the Scrapbook Window

2.   Click on the down arrow next to the Delete button, and select either Delete, Delete Visible, or Delete All
