Teacher Licensure Programs

6/14/12 Update: If you are a new student to MSU Denver starting Fall Semester, 2012, please be aware of our new General Studies Program.  We have updated versions of our advising guides to reflect these changes for students who are new to our university this coming fall.  Some students may be able to use an older MSU Denver catalog with the old General Studies program if they meet the criteria for continuous enrollment at a community college (see the last bullet point in the link).  Meet with an advisor or the Teacher Application Center coordinator for more information about rolling back your catalog year if you meet the criteria and would like to discuss using an older catalog.

We offer licensure programs in 12 different endorsement areas; Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education (four endorsement areas), K-12 Education (four endorsement areas), Special Education, and Linguistically Diverse Education (added endorsement only).

Licensure programs are available for undergraduate students (paired with specific academic majors across the university) and for post-baccalaureate students looking to earn Teacher Licensure after completion of their bachelor’s degree.

Find the areas that interest you on the menu to the left for more specific information, Advising Guides, and Program Plans for each licensure area.

For more information on being admitted to our program(s), check out the “Getting Started” tab on the menu at the top of our page.
