Advising
Students who are enrolled in a Teacher Licensure program at MSU Denver are highly encouraged to meet with their assigned Education advisors each Spring and Fall semester. Advising sessions will help to ensure that students are on track with their coursework, aware of upcoming changes to their program(s), and are preparing for student teaching.
Scheduling an Advising Appointment for Teacher Education
Advising appointments are made through the Teacher Education Department front office. Students should stop by or otherwise contact the front office to schedule an appointment with their advisor at least a week in advance, if possible. The phone number is (303) 556-6228.
The following document is a list of the current advising schedules for Teacher Education advisors. Please keep in mind that this document may be updated regularly as schedules are adjusted throughout the semester. We will provide new schedules as they become available.

Advising in the Major/Content Area
Undergraduate students (except those majoring in Special Education), as well as Post-Baccalaureate students going into one of the eight Secondary or K-12 licensure areas, will need to meet with advisors in other departments here at MSU Denver. Please consult our list of specific faculty members in each department who are designated to advise Teacher Licensure students for that specific content area or major. Please check the list to make sure you are seeing the appropriate advisors outside of the Teacher Education Department.
