Auraria Library
Auraria Library serves a unique community consisting of three diverse institutions:
- An urban community college (Community College of Denver)
- The largest baccalaureate-only college in the nation (Metropolitan State College of Denver)
- A metropolitan university (University of Colorado at Denver), providing both undergraduate education and a variety of graduate and professional programs
Center for Colorado & the West at Auraria Library
Founded in 2009 and situated in downtown Denver, the Center for Colorado & the West at Auraria Library (CC&W) advances understanding of Rocky Mountain history. Signature projects enrich educational experiences for students on the Auraria Higher Education Center campus. Students selected as Kenneth King Foundation Fellows and interns work with faculty supervisors to build unique digital research collections, review Colorado publications, and produce mini-documentaries. Active partnerships with Denver Public Library and the Colorado Historical Society ensure coordinated efforts to further public history scholarship on Colorado and the West.
Colorado Council for Economic Education
The Colorado Council for Economic Education envisions an America where each school-age child will be taught the basic decision-making skills necessary to realize his or her full potential. In a free society, the key to unlocking the power of each individual can be found in the logic of economic reasoning.
Colorado Department of Education
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is the administrative arm of the Colorado State Board of Education. With a commitment to high standards, challenging assessments and rigorous accountability measures, CDE serves preK-12 public education, adult education and family literacy and library communities of Colorado.

For over 125 years, The Denver Post has been Colorado’s media leader. Adapting to the changing media market, The Post has transformed itself from a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper into a multimedia news and information source that now includes Colorado's number one web site for breaking news (plus over 80 other web sites), niche publications, custom printing, e-newsletters, a host of daily blogs and forums, social media networking and customized content to meet the specific needs of its readers and advertisers.

Denver Public Library’s Western History/Genealogy Department
This online database contains a selection of historic photographs from the collections of the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department and the Colorado Historical Society. These collections, which contain more than one million items, document the history of Colorado and the American West. This online database contains some 100,000 images and catalog records, including:
- American Indians and pioneers
- Railroads and mines
- Denver and other Colorado towns
- City, farm and ranch life
- Recreation and scenery
- News events
- Items from numerous other subjects and states
Facing History and Ourselves
Founded in 1976, we are an international educational and professional development nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry. By studying the historical development of the Holocaust and other examples of genocide, students make the essential connection between history and the moral choices they confront in their own lives.
History Colorado
Founded in 1879, History Colorado, the Colorado Historical Society brings the unique character of Colorado's past to more than a million people each year through historical museums and highway markers, exhibitions, manuscript and photograph collections, popular and scholarly publications, historical and archaeological preservation services, and educational programs for children and adults. In short, the Society collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Colorado for present and future generations. History Colorado is unique in that is is both a nonprofit agency with its own membership and a state institution located within Colorado's Department of Higher Education.
Metro State Teacher Education Program
The mission of MSCD’s Teacher Education Department is to provide exemplary undergraduate and post-baccalaureate programs that prepare teachers to make effective decisions in diverse contexts. The programs are derived from and integrate recent research theory and best practices. Programs are designed to meet the current and emerging educational needs of local school districts and are coordinated with other academic departments, local and state educational agencies, and professional and learned societies. The TED programs offer a curriculum that recognizes the multicultural composition of the population served, the global understandings necessary in an interconnected world, the relationship between education (schools) and maintaining a democratic society, the importance of existing knowledge about learning and teaching, and the role of technology in instruction.
Molly Brown House Museum
In 1970 local citizens joined forces to preserve the long-time home of Titanic’s most famous survivor. They organized as Historic Denver, Inc. and began a long-legacy of preserving Denver’s historic places. Today, you can visit the Brown’s opulent 1889 home, designed by architect William Lang. You’ll also hear the fascinating tales of Molly Brown’s incredible life, from instant mining-town wealth, to labor reform and the stages of New York.

Western History Association
Founded in 1961, the Western History Association exists to promote the study of the North American West in its varied aspects and broadest sense.
