Kailei Higginson, Student Trustee

After spending his childhood in Anchorage, Alaska, Kailei Higginson served for seven years in the Army as a non-communications analyst at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colo. He enrolled at Metro State in 2006 and anticipates graduating in 2010. He is a community-based learning coordinator for Student Activities and served as a senator in the Student Government Assembly in 2007-08. Higginson has been involved in political campaigns for the Colorado Republican Party, most recently campaigning in Colorado for the John McCain/Sarah Palin presidential bid and Bob Schaffer’s senate race. As trustee, Higginson hopes to build a closer relationship between the student body and the Board of Trustees.
