Throughout most of her career, Adele Phelan has served educational causes. She has been a teacher and administrator at the secondary and college levels and from 1975 to 1983 was president of Loretto Heights College. Currently, she provides consulting services to The Clayton Foundation, the early childhood development organization she led from 1985 to 1998. On the community front, Phelan serves on numerous boards including the Qualistar Early Learning Colorado, FACES, the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Bright Beginnings, Hospice of Metro Denver and Invest in Kids. She holds a B.A. from Webster College, an M.A. from St. Louis University and an M.A. from the University of Minnesota.
