Join us as we make an impact in our community at Metro State’s 3rd annual volunteer day on April 21st.
As a result of past successful Comcast Cares Days held at Metro State, Comcast is on board for the third consecutive year as a co-sponsor of Metro State’s Roadrunners Give Back Day. Our April 21, 2012 event will be one of the sites this year for the National Comcast Cares Day.
This year Metro State is also collaborating with the Greenway Foundation and South Suburban Parks and Recreation and placing our focus on volunteer projects that focus on “water”.
Metro State students, faculty, staff and alumni, along with their families and friends, are invited to participate, and teams are encouraged. Volunteer projects range from landscaping, retention pond clean up, flower bed maintenance, tree planting, clean-up of local waterways, and more.
What to expect: Volunteers check in at 7 a.m. at the Tivoli Turnhalle and should expect to work a six-hour day. Lunch will be provided at 12:30 p.m.
T-shirts, meals and parking: All volunteers will receive a T-shirt, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and free parking on campus.
BYOW - As this year’s theme is “Water”, please help make a positive impact on our environment. Join us as we make an impact in our community at Metro State’s 3rd annual volunteer day on April 21st.
