Site Migration, Training, and Feature Rollout
Implementation of the WCMS will consist of Implementation Phases and Features Rollout Stages.
Phase Outline:
Phase I: Present - June 30, 2011 (CLOSED)
- Technical infrastructure established
- Application software installed, tested
- May 1: cutoff for new site creation in current system
- May-June:
- Phase I migration of top level sites begins
- Home page, links off home page, key sites
- Phase I migration of top level sites begins
- Partner Program introduced
Phase II: July 1, 2011 - Dec. 30, 2011 (Extended to April 19, 2012 - CLOSED)
- Administrative training from TERMINALFOUR (4 days)
- Launch of site visual design refresh
- Begin migration of department sites into system
- Migration, Contributor, Moderator
- Features rollout stages begin
Phase III: April 19, 2012 – Aug. 15, 2012 (CLOSED)
- Complete migration of websites
- Training continues
- Implement Site Manager user group meetings
- Select features implemented*
- Implement versioned upgrade to Site Manager application
* New functionality, system updates and feature implementation will continue after site migrations are complete.
