Designing Assessment

Do you always give final exams at the end of your courses? Why? Because it's final's week? Have you ever given a test or an assignment and ended up with the entire class up at your desk looking for direction on how to complete it? Every time you give a test, do you have to justify the grade you have given to a student or many students? Can grading ever be a positive experience?

All of these problems can be solved by adjusting our testing techniques. This workshop will help you evaluate, how you have been evaluating your students. You will learn to write better tests and discover alternative ways to measure student ability, that they will enjoy and learn from, long after the semester is over.
