Grant Writing II: Writing the Proposal

In order to receive grant funding, an application process must be completed. This can require anything from completing a few forms to writing a 20-plus page document with supporting materials. Just filling out the paperwork does not guarantee an award. Grant writing is a skill that translates ideas into an operating plan which attracts financial support.

The Academy for Teaching Excellence and the Metropolitan State College of Denver, presents Grant Writing 2: Proposal Writing.

The purpose of this online workshop is to demonstrate the skills necessary to create a grant proposal and to instruct you on how to strategically complete all of the requirements. For the purpose of this workshop, we will focus on the application process for federal grants. Federal grants are the most competitive and often the most difficult proposal to write. Learning to construct federal grants should provide excellent preparation for foundation and corporate grants.
