Lack of Navigation Skills

Sometimes students can feel lost in cyberspace when the web site or web tools are complicated. They have no idea where to start or what they need to do next. Don't assume your students are skilled Internet users. Provide very specific instructions for all class activities and e-mail or post the instructions for all students. Keep course web pages simple, so it is obvious to students where to go next.
