Domination by One Student

Online students get really frustrated if one student takes over the discussion forum. Monitor the discussion forum and intervene if this becomes a problem. E-mail the student and say that you appreciate the contribution, but you are trying to encourage others to participate. Also, post a message to the rest of the class and ask them to chime in with their opinions.
