FEATURED NEWS FROM THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Metro State Board of Trustees passes phased-in pay for performance, supports legislation on in-state tuition On December 5, the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to pass the new
faculty pay for performance system, implementing it in two phases and
slightly changing the process for award determinations. Corporate partners announced at “Apprentice Challenge” launch Ten Metro State students experienced the life of a successful apprentice
as they towered over downtown Denver from the 32nd floor of the Molson
Coors Brewing Company on December 4. Close to 100 people, including family
members, alumni association board members and corporate sponsors, attended
the official launch of the “Apprentice Challenge @ Metro State.”
KEEPING CONNECTED Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Marade: January 21 Celebrate the largest Martin Luther King Jr. march and rally in the United States with us! Participants gather at City Park and march to Civic Center Park, where a large rally commemorates the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Metro State President Stephen Jordan will be this year's keynote speaker. Join Metro State alumni, students, faculty and staff at 8:30 a.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "I Have A Dream" Monument at Denver's City Park. The public is invited to meet him on February 4 from 7-9pm at Shorter AME Church in Denver. 2008 Homecoming Week @ Metro State: February 18-22 Save the date! 2008 Homecoming Week is February 18-22, culminating with women’s and men’s basketball games against Colorado School of Mines on the evening of February 22 at the Auraria Events Center.
