Dear fellow alumni,
Happy 2007! It is hard to believe that we are already into the second month of the New Year.
Many exciting things are happening at your alma mater. Please take a moment to review this issue of the Alumni eNews. For many of you, this may be your first time receiving a monthly electronic publication from us. The Alumni eNews will keep you updated on key events, College news, opportunities to stay connected, and valuable benefits and services available exclusively to Metro State graduates.

Metro State’s Got Game: Homecoming Week 2007 (February 5-10)
Welcome back, alumni! We look forward to seeing you on campus for Homecoming Week 2007 festivities. We're keeping the tradition going with a great set of Roadrunner basketball games to wrap up the week--make it a family night out and come celebrate with us! Outstanding Alumni Award Nominations Open
Nominate an outstanding graduate who you believe deserves recognition for reflecting one (or more!) of the four core values of the Alumni Association. Our core values include: Giving Back, Making a Difference, Metro State Pride and Work Ethic. Submissions are due by February 16, 2007 and winners will be honored at the "Alumni Recognition Evening" on April 11, 2007. Please CLICK HERE to learn more and download the application form.
KEEPING CONNECTED:
Alumni Print Directory
The Metro State Alumni Association has teamed up with Harris Connect to produce a print directory featuring information on Metro State graduates. This hardback book will feature profiles on alumni who chose to share their information with Harris this past fall. The directories will be distributed in April 2007 to those who purchased copies. If you were unable to pre-purchase a copy of this resource, there are still a limited number available by calling Harris Connect at 1-800-877-6554.
Feedback Needed for Online Alumni Community
If you would be interested in finding friends from your college days, posting personal photos, sharing updates, expanding your professional network, or exploring what’s happening in your old academic department at Metro State, ALL ON ONE WEBSITE, we want your feedback! Please CLICK HERE to submit your feedback regarding a new online resource we plan to launch in summer 2007. Our "Metro State Online Alumni Community" will include personal, academic and business information about our graduates, based on the information you wish to share.

Save Your Plate: FREE Metro State License Plate Campaign
Show your Metro State pride today by helping us save the Metro State license plate! The Metro State license plate will be eliminated after this semester if no less than 4,000 Metro State specialty license plates are on vehicles around the state of Colorado.
In late 2006, more than 2,000 individuals requested a free voucher (a
$50 value!) from the Alumni Association. With only four months left in
this campaign, the Alumni Association is calling on all alums to show
pride in their alma mater by requesting a plate voucher today. Help
