Registration closed for 2008 Alumni Association Annual Meeting, online voting opens

The Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 18 is at full capacity and registration is now closed. But you can still be involved and vote online for the proposed slate of new Metro State Alumni Association Board of Director members. Go to http://www.mscd.edu/~alumni/ and then scroll down to "Current Highlights" and click on the "VOTE NOW" link. All ballots must be submitted by Thursday, September 18 at noon.

Success leads to second 'Apprentice Challenge'

Welcome Back ceremony kicks off new academic year

Metro State held its fourth annual Welcome Back event on September 3 at the King Center. President Stephen Jordan, Provost Linda Curran, and others spoke to the estimated 200-plus members of the Metro State community in attendance, discussing the past year’s accomplishments and looking to ahead to the current academic year. Art Ability at Auraria

More artists are needed for "Art Ability at Auraria", the fourth annual exhibition of art by students, alumni, faculty, and staff living with disabilities. If you are interested, please contact Julie Mancuso at rummelj@mscd.edu or call (303) 556-4618. The exhibition begins on October 2.

Board of Trustees takes position on ballot issues, approves new deadlines on Pay-for-Performance

In its first meeting of the 2008-09 academic year, Metro State’s Board of Trustees voted to approve new deadlines on the Pay-for-Performance faculty compensation initiative and to take a public position on a number of ballot initiatives. CLICK HERE to read more.
