• “Apprentice” selected at Boardroom Finale: Lithuanian native and political science student Giedre Stasiunaite, 21, stood as the final winner at “The Boardroom” Finale Event for The Apprentice Challenge @ Metro State on May 1. To read more, CLICK HERE.
• Trustees announce 3 year contract for president: Metro State Board of Trustees Chair Adele Phelan announced on May 8 that the board and President Stephen Jordan have reached an agreement for a three-year contract with two one-year extensions. To read more, CLICK HERE.
• Metro State named to top 100 for Latino students: The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education has ranked Metro State among the top 100 colleges and universities in the country for enrolling and graduating Latinos. To read more, CLICK HERE.
• Grant from CW2 will fund 5 student scholarships: The Metro State Alumni Association recently received a grant from CW2 for $15,000 towards its Alumni Scholars Award. CW2’s grant will fund five scholarships. The Alumni Scholars Award provides full tuition scholarships to students for their senior year at Metro State. Since its inception in 2001, the Metro State Alumni Association Alumni Scholar Awards program has given out thousands of dollars in scholarships to seniors who exhibit exemplary academic work, commitment to community and/or campus service, demonstrate leadership qualities and have some financial need.
