FAA awards air traffic controller program at Metro State
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded Metropolitan State College of Denver the highly coveted Air Traffic Controller Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) designation for its Aviation and Aerospace Science Department. Only select institutions are awarded such status. Metro State is one of eight colleges and universities chosen out of 19 colleges that had qualified for the program. CLICK HERE to learn more.
President Jordan requests $4.1 million in budget initiatives
At an October 19 meeting for college and university presidents with higher education commissioners and lawmakers, Metro State President Stephen Jordan presented two budget request initiatives for the 2008-09 fiscal year that total $4.1 million. CLICK HERE to learn more.
KEEPING CONNECTED
Commencement volunteers needed (Sunday, December 16)
Fall 2007 Commencement will take place on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at
the Colorado Convention Center in Denver from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.*
Volunteers are needed to assist guests and welcome the newest graduates
to the Alumni Association. Please sign-up by Friday, December
7, 2007 at alumni@mscd.edu or 303-556-4076.
*Please note that volunteers are needed BEFORE the ceremony. The actual
Commencement program begins at 2:00 p.m.
