Metro
State License Plates- Show Your Pride!
As you may know, the Metro State license plate is still facing
elimination by the state of Colorado unless at least 3,000 of
the special Roadrunner plates are purchased and on vehicles by February
1, 2008. Currently, many of you have requested the vouchers, but have
not redeemed them at your local DMV (over 4,000 vouchers have been distributed,
with currently only 1,000 actually on vehicles). The state of Colorado
is working with us to ensure plates are available for us to meet this
deadline.
To prevent the loss of our plate from happening, the Metro State
Alumni Association is continuing our “Save the Plate” campaign.
Originally, vouchers for the plates were either $25 or $50, with the funds
going to the Alumni Scholars Program. The office is waiving the voucher
fee for the first 5,000 alumni and friends who request a voucher. (There
is still a one-time specialty plate fee of $50 required by the Department
of Motor Vehicles.)
CLICK
HERE to request your free voucher.
Act TODAY so that our plate is available for future generations of graduates
to come!
