Letter from the Director
Greetings fellow alumni of The Metropolitan State College of Denver.
I would like to welcome you to our website. It is our hope that you will consider this site as your point of contact with the College and the many programs we are planning for alumni to stay connected with your alma mater.
With the number of graduates now at 60,000, we look forward to fulfilling the mission of the Alumni Association: To cultivate relationships, motivate participation and create opportunities for a continuous connection with the College, its alumni and the community.
We measure your connection by the events you attend, the time you volunteer, your participation in alumni chapters, the updates you send and the donations you make. We look forward to your calls and emails, and we welcome your visits.
As a Metro State graduate myself, I can truly relate to the busy lives you lead and the challenge this presents to staying involved with the college. I want to thank all the alumni who have been instrumental in leading the Alumni Association in the past year - the Alumni Action Task Force members, the ADVANCE volunteers, the chapter members, advisory committee members, classroom speakers, those who attended and volunteered at events, and the office assistants. Last, but truly not least, are the leaders who helped create these opportunities for connection: The Association Board of Directors, the College administration and the Alumni Relations staff.
Many strides have been made over the last year; however, many more lay ahead. Ask yourself, "What can I do to give back to my alma mater?" and "Where is the best place for me to share my talents?" We hope to inspire pride in your Alumni Association and encourage you to become more active this upcoming year. Keep us informed on what you are doing and how we can be of help to you.
Sincerely,
